Negreanu Poker Quiz: PLO
Posted by pmpoker on August 27, 2006
After finally answering his last poker quiz, Daniel Negreanu asks:
You are playing $100-$200 blind Pot Limit Omaha and come in raising to $600 with 3c4c5s8s
A very tight player re-raised the pot, making it $2100 to go and only had $1100 left. Now, another tight player goes all in for a total of $3600.
You have to call $3000 more in what will most certainly be a three way pot. What would you do?
Call, baby, call.

Ray Zee On the Difference Between Expert and Nearly Expert Stud Players
Posted by pmpoker on August 17, 2006
The really expert 7 stud players know every card that is out. The almost really expert 7 stud players may not be able to tell you every card that is out, but when a card appears on the board they can tell you if it is live or not and have a good idea if it can help the hand. Always remember the seven other starting upcards then the rest of the cards will fall into place.
Good Luck.

Ray Zee’s Typical Pot Limit Omaha Game
Posted by pmpoker on August 17, 2006
Glad to see you here at the forum and I hope you are doing fine. Those are the pot limit omaha games I play in and those kind of pots do come up from time to time. Usually the player gives up before going all in against a really good player because he knows that this player can read that far into his thinking. Most of the pots with alot of flair get started by one of the people from around London. They currently are the best omaha players and the ones that play into the highest levels of thinking. To win at big stakes omaha you cant be afraid to call tough bets. Against some players raising on the end with the bare ace of the possible flush is guaranteed money if you have the guts to stick alot of money in.
