Big Poker Sundays 4-20 recap

Posted by pmpoker on April 21, 2008

I’m looking for things to write about, so I’ll try this. A recap of the most recent edition of Poker Road’s Big Poker Sundays with a shortened edition featuring host Scott Huff talking to Haralabos “Bob” Voulgaris, who is on the phone from Vegas.

-Bob has been up 20 hours playing 200/400 and 400/800 PLO. Participants include Tom “durrr” Dwan and Rafi Amit.
-Huff praises on-going EPT coverage, mentions Isaac “WestmenloAA” Baron
-Huff asks Bob about Joe Hachem; Bob hates that Hachem complains constantly about bad luck and finds it weird that Hachem can’t sweat the flop
-Huff asks about the fields after noting that the prelim winners at the Bellagio have been name pros: Bill Baxter, the Grinder, Toto Leonidas, Darrell Dicken, and Michael Binger
-Bob notes that “the cash game stuff is pretty mentally retarded” and “people are setting their money on fire.”
-Bob tells the story of a gaming commission representative having to be called in to make a player split the pot because “cards speak” in a PLO game and one player had miscalled his hand with three sevens, not realizing he also had a straight
-Huff thinks that the EPT coverage is “more reverent” towards poker, wonders if Americans will be better off playing in Europe in the future.
-Bob leaves to go play in the cash games.
-Huff begs people to listen to Two Jacks on the Road
-Big Poker Sundays returns in two weeks
