There has been a game every night at Bobby’s Room at the Bellagio since we lowered the limits. We have taken out most of the no-limit and pot-limit games, and it seems that is what most of the players want. Anything suits me, just to keep the action going.

I wonder how much the line-up has changed without Chip Reese to talk marks players into taking a seat. I wonder which players don’t fall under the category “most of the players.”

Mixing big-bet and fixed-limit games always seemed weird to me, since the potential is there to skew the mix toward the NLHE/PLO specialists too much. Putting a cap on is one way around it, but I’ve always wondered what would happen if they just played the big bet games at much smaller blind sizes so that the different games effectively play the same size. I’m not sure how one would go about doing that, but perhaps you might set it so that so that 100 big blinds in the NL/PL games is about the same as 20 to 30 big bets in the fixed limit games. If they are playing 1K/2K, then mixing in NLHE would be played at 200/400, perhaps with an ante.
